BATON ROUGE, Louisiana (October 15, 2026) – St. Lillian Academy is launching its 2026 Annual Giving Campaign, “Strengthen Our Next Steps,” inviting families, businesses and community members to support the specialized education and opportunities that help its students move forward. The campaign runs from October 15 through November 20.
The Annual Giving Campaign is St. Lillian Academy’s most important annual fundraising effort. Contributions provide essential operational support , helping to bridge the gap between tuition and the full cost of providing an individualized education for students with communication and learning challenges.
“At St. Lillian Academy, we see our students’ abilities, not their limitations,” said Elissa McKenzie, Head of School, St. Lillian Academy. “Every student has their own path, and every step forward matters. Through this campaign, we’re inviting our community to help provide the support that allows our students to keep making progress.”
Gifts to St. Lillian Academy help sustain the people and programs that make its unique educational approach possible. Donor support contributes to scholarships and tuition assistance, professional development for teachers, enrichment opportunities and specialized classroom resources. It also supports post-graduate life-skills and job training that help students prepare for greater independence.
Serving students ages 5–21+ through grades K–12 and a post-graduate program, St. Lillian Academy provides an education tailored to each student’s individual needs. Its collaborative teaching approach brings together teachers, interventionists and families to help students build on their strengths and develop skills that extend beyond the classroom.
For 15 years, St. Lillian Academy has remained committed to its mission of championing children and preparing them to become productive, contributing members of their communities. The Annual Giving Campaign offers an opportunity for longtime supporters and new donors alike to take part in that mission.
“Progress looks different for every student. It might be learning a new skill or gaining confidence in something they once found difficult,” said McKenzie. “When our community gives, they become part of those moments. Their generosity helps strengthen the next step for each student.”
