Why Give to SLA
At St. Lillian Academy, our dedicated staff works tirelessly to educate and provide individualized support to our exceptional students. We never want a family to feel the opportunities we provide are out of reach due to a student’s cognitive, behavioral or communication challenges. SLA brings together services and support that allow a potential road map for any students’ success. These qualified professionals provide the formula for that success, but also add to the expense of our quality program.
How to Give to SLA
Support St. Lillian Academy through a gift to the St. Lillian Academy Fund:
The St. Lillian Academy Fund, the school’s annual fund, directly supports our students, teachers and program. Every donation is put to use in the current school year to provide teacher professional development and resources, instructional materials, therapeutic equipment, art supplies and more.
The campaign for the annual fund, which touches all corners of school life, launches each year in the fall and numerous parents, board members, past parents, grandparents, teachers/staff, and friends all play a part in supporting the school. The St. Lillian Academy Fund is the school’s number one fundraising priority.
Our goal for The 2020-2021 Annual St. Lillian Academy Fund is $125,000.
By design and as at most independent schools, St. Lillian Academy’s tuition does not fully fund the cost of a St. Lillian Academy education. The St. Lillian Academy Fund helps to make up this difference. It takes a combination of tuition and charitable donations to provide the distinctive qualities our program offers:
- Low student to teacher ratio (10:2)
- Team-based model (academic, therapeutic and intervention)
- Specialized curriculum
- Appropriate learning tools for each student
- Exemplary Teachers
With our costs to educate each student currently near $20,000, gifts to the St. Lillian Academy Fund allows us to bridge the gap and continue to offer these much needed educational opportunities to the children and families in the greater Baton Rouge community.
St. Lillian Academy is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, TAX ID #27-3094681. All donations to The St. Lillian Academy Fund are tax-deductible, and gifts must be received by July 31, 2021.
